Excessive news consumption can also have a negative impact on your mental health. You don’t have to leave anything out altogether, just try to limit when or how you use social media. One thing to try is to have your phone in a different room so it isn’t the last thing you check before bed and the first thing in the morning. When you have a meal, move your phone away from you. If you’re really looking for a challenge, try not to search social media for a full day.
